Canine Behavioural Practitioner

I have worked with many rescues over the last 20 years; Whitegates Dog Rescue Trust, NCAR, Merlin Dog Rescue, Little Brown Dog Rescue and Merseyside Mutts to name but a few. Within these rescues I have worked with every breed and mix of breed known, in addition to every aspect of behavioural issue and temperament.

During my 5 years with NCAR a large part of my time at this rescue entailed responding to emergency call outs in Flintshire and assessing the unknown behaviour of the dog. Following this assessment the dogs were then available for re-homing, if not claimed.

I have decided to formalise my experience by undertaking a degree in Canine Psychology and Behaviour with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Training and Behaviour, who are now the Preferred Educator for the Kennel Club. The tutors affiliated to this degree include Ross McCarthy, Sara Muncke and Lez Graham all of whom are prominent in this field.

I have 2 rescued rotties, Abby and Huggy Bear, who both live and work with me. They lead the Pack Walks and assist on one-2-one sessions. They are also used to reinforce my assessments during socialisation and individual sessions.

Through my work with the rescues, the North Wales Pack and Socialisation Walks evolved, these have been hugely successful and I now accommodate between 25-45 dogs per walk. In addition, I offer one-2-one training sessions which address specific issues. I am also currently in the process of resourcing locations with a view to starting obedience classes.
